an uncensored collaboration // motherlucker & lemons for love
I haven't been doing this blog thing for very long so when I found out I've been chosen from hundreds of submissions to contribute to a very cool blog about the realness of parenthood, I couldn't help but do a happy dance.
In the privacy of my own bedroom of course.
This has been something that's been brewing behind the scenes for the past few months and it's finally come to fruition!
I'm happy to announce that I am one of the FIRST of ten contributors on Motherlucker.com!
Motherlucker.com is a website solely dedicated to the trials and tribulations of parenthood...uncensored of course. It's honest, real, transparent, humorous and raw.
Kinda like me in a nutshell.
Why me you ask? I get it, I'm not a parent...YET! However, I am pregnant with my first baby and due in December 2016, so this is a world that I am already immersed in. Plus, I've been very candid and open about my past experiences in trying to have a child. I will be sharing my stories with you all on my pregnancy, child birth, and parenthood. The joyous occasions, the good times, the bad times, the hard times, the I -can't-believe-this-is-my-life times, the holy-shit-times and all the stuff in between. It's going to be the toughest thing I've ever done in my life (not to mention the most PERMANENT!) but I know it will be 100% worth it and I cannot wait to experience every ounce of it.
How do I view your posts?
Every month, my latest story (mishap, crisis, ah-ha moment...you name it!) will be posted on Motherlucker.com, so you can read it there.
I will be notifying everyone via my social media channels (see links at top of page AND I'm on Snapchat now too so add me there @ baxter.andrea) when these posts go live so make sure you follow me over in social media land to read all about how this journey is going for me.
You can also follow Motherlucker as they will be posting them as well:
I hope you enjoy hearing about this journey as much as I am looking forward to living and sharing it! I am truly scared to be a mom and all that comes with it, but I know I will do a great job because I have the love and support of both my family, friends and partner to get through it all. Plus I have some pretty amazing parents who have been great examples throughout my life.
Stay tuned....it's going to be an interesting yet highly uncensored ride:)
