you-can't-just-eat-one peanut butter bars

Who doesn't love peanut butter and chocolate together? I've definitely been guilty of dipping a spoon in BOTH a jar of Nutella and THEN a jar pf peanut butter. Gulp. No judgement.

Our contributor Jill Hatch is here to share her amazingly delicious recipe for peanut butter bars so you can now make this sweet treat to have at home or for when company shows up. And hopefully, you make them last longer than a day, because I am warning you now, they ARE DEADLY DELICIOUS!

Peanut Butter Bars

Yields: approximately 35-40 bars

Preheat your over to 350°. In a stand mixer or with a hand beater, cream together:

1 C butter
1 C sugar
1 C brown sugar
2 eggs
2/3 C peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla

Then add to the creamed mixture the following:

2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 C flour
2 C oats

Spread the mixture evenly onto a jelly roll pan (baking pan) and bake for 15 minutes. Do not over bake! Immediately after taking out of oven, sprinkle one bag of milk chocolate chips evenly and spread as they melt.

Next, in a small mixing bowl mix together:

1 C powdered sugar
1/2 C peanut butter
6 tbsp milk

Mix and spread evenly on top. Refrigerate or devour immediately!
