It’s almost New Years, so why not add another cocktail into the rotation?

I saw this recipe and immediately knew I had to make it over the holidays. It had all the fixings for the perfect festive libation - apple cider, whiskey, rosemary-infused simple syrup. DELISH.

I had quite a few people ask about this recipe and I cannot take credit for it because I did get it from The College Housewife, but here it is for you all to try out!

Apple Cider Whiskey Rose

12oz whiskey
1C rosemary simple syrup*
8 large ice block cubes
Sparkling cider or hard apple cider
Garnish: rosemary sprig and sliced apples

Fill shaker with whiskey, simple syrup and ice until blended. Pour into glasses prepared with ice cubes (they are not to be filled up - this is a nice sipping drink). Top with apple cider (sparkling is the best for texture) and garnish with 2-3 apple slices and a rosemary sprig (which also doubles as a great stir stick).

NOTE: To make the rosemary-infused simple syrup, mix 1 C sugar and 1 C water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then turn off. Steep 4-5 rosemary sprigs in the syrup for approximately 20 minutes. Strain once finished.
